Oates Investments Inc. is an asset management firm that primarily services the needs of the Marvin L. Oates Family. Oates Investments Inc. manages nearly seven million square feet of commercial and industrial property.
The Goal of Oates Investments Inc. is to provide the highest service to our clients, relentlessly reduce operating expenses, and manage for tenant retention.

Mr. Oates has been a major factor in the growth and development of the greater Sacramento Region for over 50 years. During that time, Mr. Oates has been responsible for the establishment of multiple companies as well as the development of over 50 Million square feet of industrial, retail, and office properties throughout California.
History
1943
Buzz was called into service with the US Air Force during World War II where he served as a bombardier in 30 missions and became a war hero.
 1946
Buzz took $2,000 saved in the military and opened A&A Key Shop which provided locksmith services.
1951
A&A Key Shop grew into A&A Builders Supply, a retail establishment selling everything from nails to televisions.
 1960
A&A Builders Supply evolved into Buzz Oates Enterprises which included construction, development, property management, and finance & capital markets.
2006
With his family in mind, Buzz joined with Andrew Kilpatrick and Scott Cable to create Oates Investments Inc., an asset management firm responsible for the management of all assets belonging to the Oates Family.
2009
With over 7 Million Square Feet under management, land holdings in nearly 20 California cities, and almost 1 Million Square Feet of new product added in 2008 alone, Oates Investments Inc. continues its place hold as one of the most unique privately held commercial real estate & asset management companies in existence today.
